Nike / Orbit.
A launch that can be explored.

An idea.
Another perspective.
Independent immersive commerce concept inspired by the Nike universe. Each collection becomes a system and each model a planet: discover, customize and buy within a single experience.
The challenge
In this scenario, traffic arrives in spikes, sizes fragment inventory, and the 3D experience could increase purchase friction. The challenge: preserve the excitement of discovery with a fast and accessible purchase.
The proposed direction
We propose Vue 3 with a progressive Three.js layer, crawlable HTML catalog, size availability from an inventory service, and conventional checkout. An event queue decouples reservations, payments and inventory. We would measure conversion and speed with controlled tests before scaling.
Architecture and technologies
Engineering challenges and decisions
- Inventory: idempotent reservations and stock reconciliation.
- Demand spikes: catalog caching and purchase access queue.
- 3D: lazy loading, render budget and WebGL-free accessible catalog.
Modeled monthly revenue
Concept projection, calculated from the following assumptions.
Visible assumptions
150,000 visits/month in both scenarios. Baseline: 1.7% conversion and 80 USD average order value. Hypothesis: 2.4% conversion and 95 USD average order value.
150.000 × 0,017 × 80 = 204.000 USD → 150.000 × 0,024 × 95 = 342.000 USDHow we would validate it
A/B experiment with control group, revenue per visitor and margin after returns. The model excludes taxes, advertising and operating costs.
A conversation can open up a whole universe.
